Word 2003, with excel database, is skipping every other record when merge to printer or to a new document is used. Can't figure out why.

Janet--Have you been able to resolve this problem? I'm having it also.

I am using Excel & Word 2003. I'm trying to merge record #4 to #62 into a
Word document that is "landscaped" with 2 columns. This gives me two letters
per page. When I merge, it skips the first record, merges 2, skips the next,
merges 2, skips the next, etc. If I interest blank rows after every 2
records, it merges fine. How can I fix this problem without interesting the
extra rows? (e-mail address removed)

Sounds like you have an unncessary next field. In the case of the columns,
there should only be one next field at the start of the second column. There
should not be one at the beginning of the first column or the end of the
second.

The field Graham is referring to is the «Next Record» field.
