Hey everyone. i just got a quick question. before i reformated my pc, i was
able to turn on my computer and it would go straight to my desktop. noe, it
goes to the log on screen and i have to click on my name to go to the desktop
and for it to laod the start up programs. i have tried to mess around with
the settings but i cannot find the one to skip the log on screen. i just want
to be able to turn on my pc and i can walk away, knowing that when i return,
it will have loaded to my desktop. any help is appreciated. thanks,
david

Control Panel>User Accounts>Change the way Users log on or off
UnCheck: Use the Welcome Screen

Goto Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2"
Then under the users tab, uncheck Users must enter a username/pass to use
this computer"
Then press ok and Enter your username/password

Or

Alternatively, you can use TweakUI for Windows XP to do this.
See the Logon/Auto-Logon Section

The other tip of 'enabling the welcome screen' will only work if there is
only one user set up with NO password.
