size of tab font in XL 2007

This is a weird question, but all of the sudden, in XL 2007, the font size of
the tab names has gone to about 5. Anyone know of a setting that changes the
font size of the tab name? And if so, how to set it to a more reasonable
size?

Hi Dave,

Here's a rather ridiculous solution:

The font size for tabs seems to be based on the scrollbar size in the OS.
So, in XP for instance, if you go to the Appearance section of Display
Properties, click on the Advanced button, then select the scrollbar and
increase its size, you will also increase the size of the tabs in XL2007.
Unfortunately, this will increase the size of all of your scrollbars.

Wow, that's a new one for me, thanks. I never noticed the size of my scroll
bars before. Does this apply to earlier versions of office? Or just office
2007?

Hi

I don't think this is an XL2007 feature. That has been the only method
of increasing tab size in all previous versions of Excel as far as I am
aware.

I used to be "customization happy." That is, whenever I installed Windows, I
would see how may non-essential things I could customize--like ridiculously
large scrollbars, Start menu hanging from the ceiling, etc. Nowadays I just
keep it as it comes, but I jump at the chance to go into the advanced
appearance settings when warranted.
