Hi,
I'm designing a new network with 1 hub site and 8 remote sites
(branch-like).
I plan on creating a site link between each site and the hub site (a total
of 8 site links) with cost of 50 each. I would like to add another link, in
case the hub site's Internet connection is down, with a higher cost of 75.
This way the main connections will always be used and only if the hub site
is unavailable the other link will be used.
For the secondary link, I thought of creating 1 site link containing ALL the
sites so that all pairs of sites would be able to talk with each other and
if one of the sites is down - it's not effecting the rest of the network.

would it be right way to do it?

Thanks,
Sagy.

Hi,

I don't think this is going to work. All of your satellite offices have VPNs
into the hub, right? So, that's what they're linked to. If the hub is down,
the satlelite VPN isn't going to magically connect to another satellite
office. You'd need two VPNs from each site - one to the hub, and one to the
neighboring site on the ring (draw this out - put a site in the middle, and
then draw eight around it).
