Hi,

I have 3 sites, they can all communicate over an ATM backbone. The sites
were really established for client affinity reasons.

In terms of the site link, i just renamed the "Default Site Link" and put
the 3 sites in and set the replication for every 15 mins. Should i have
created any other site links? Or is there any need to?

Thanks

If there are domain controllers at each of the three sites this would nor be
such a good idea. No matter how fast and reliable a WAN link is you should
try to keep logon traffic local if possible.

You don't mention the speed or reliabilty of the ATM link but I would
assume both of those are pretty good. If so, you might even consider
putting all three locations in the same AD site.

To add a bit to this, one advantage of more site links would be if you
wanted to configure the sites (call them A, B and C) such that A replicates
with B but not C, B replicates with C and not A, etc. IE more fine-grained
control of the replication topology.
In an environment like yours though, using a single site link and putting
all sites in it is probably easiest and best. Let all sites replicate with
all others, no harm done.

Thanks for your replies!
