Hi,
Sandra shows my cpu as P4 2.8C which is 800fsb but I thought I bought a 2.8B which is 533fsb. Did I
get lucky, how can I check? My mobo only supports 533fsb (P4PE) so that is what the fsb is listed
as under Sandra.

What should I be looking for in here? It doesn't say whether its
a B or C but it is a northwood.

The multiplier on Intel retail processors is locked. The multiplier
is the ratio between CPU clock and core clock.

FSB800/4 = 200MHz CPU clock. 2800/200 = 14x multiplier
FSB533/3 = 133MHz CPU clock. 2800/133 = 21x multiplier

What is the multiplier shown in CPUZ ? Is it the 14x of a 2.8C
or the 21x of a 2.8B ?

Paul
