I recently upgraded to XP Home a computer with the SiS
5598/6326 driver chipset on the motherboard, driving a
Komodo K73P 17" svga pnp monitor. Both worked well under
Win98. Now, under XP, I cannot get more than 800x600
resolution nor greater than 16 colors (8 bit). Both the
chipset and the monitor are capable of supporting up to
1280x1024 resolution and 24 bit color.
XP has recognized both devices and claims to have
installed the proper driver software for each. I have
dl'd updated drivers from the respective mfrs. sites or
support groups for each with no effect.
Advice please? TIA
