Simultaneous editing on network

Is there a way for two people to collaborate on one
document, using a network, and Word 2002?
We want to be able to view the same document and see each
others edits as we do them, rather than sitting in a
common office on one PC.
 
No, Word specifically can't do simultaneous editing. If one person has the
document open, the other person will be forced to open it in read-only mode.

You might be able to use a remote-access program like VNC to "share" the use
of one copy of Word editing one copy of the document.
