Hi, I am trying to have a single word doc accessed from 2
workstations at once, Is this possible? I keep running
into problems with read only and multiple copies being
created. Is there an easy way around this? thanks

Sam

There is no easy way around this. There is no hard way around this. Word is
not set up to allow two people to make changes to a document simultaneously;
they would overwrite each other's work.

If the two people are working on different areas of the document, you could
set up two documents containing those different areas. They could access
(view) the part the other person is working on using an IncludeText file
link to the other part. Printing either document would print both parts.
Note, though, that IncludeText fields don't update automatically. They have
to be selected and the F9 key pressed (or you have to use some other means
to update them).

See the MVP FAQ: <URL: http://www.mvps.org/word/> which is awesome!
