Simple TCP/IP causing 100% cpu usage

My PC started acting real bad, the CPU was at 100% usage.
Through admin tools services, when I turn off Simple TCP/IP
the cpu goes back to normal. Do I need this? If so how do
I fix it, or is there a conflict I should be looking for?

Simple TCP/IP services are not necessary for common TCP/IP networking
functions. Uninstall this component through Add/Remove Programs Windows
Components - Networking.

Thanks, that fixed it. I'm not sure why it was on, but
with it disabled all is weel. Are there other windows
components that should/could be turned off?
