I am looking to get remote desktop working but i have one problem im not sure how...
so far I have:
1) clicked that thingy that says you can be accessed with remote desktop
well thats it...
i need to be able to use remote desktop from an nt machine without downloadin anything that it may think of as being possibly malicious (its at a school so its very very sensitive)
Thank you in advance for any help.

If the NT machine is properly locked down, you are out of luck.

RD requires a local client of some kind--this can be a signed, ActiveX
control, which is installed when you connect to a web browser using the Web
Connection method--or it can be a downloadable and installable client--or
even a piece of that client brought in on a floppy diskette.

None of these methods will succeed if the machine is locked down
properly.--the ActiveX controll will be locked out, you won't be able to
install the installable client, and floppy access will be forbidden.

Beyond these, you also need at least one, perhaps two ports open in the
school's firewall--not proxied, actually open outbound.

You might just ask the help-desk people--they may save you a lot of time
trying different things.
