My toolbar with the START button and various internet links is now displayed
vertically on the far left side of my screen. How do I get it display back
to the bottom of the screen and to be horizontal at the bottom of the screen
??? Thanks.

Place the cursor on an open space in the taskbar. While holding
down the left mouse button, drag the taskbar to the bottom of the
screen. Release the button. If you are unable to move the
taskbar, right click and make sure that there isn't a check mark
next to Lock the Taskbar. Remove it by left clicking once. Once
you've put the taskbar back at the bottom, you might want to
enable that locking feature so it doesn't wander in the future.

Right click it and make sure the 'Lock Taskbar' is not checked (if so,
click to uncheck it). Then with the left mouse button grab an empty
point in the bar and drag to the middle of the side of the screen you
want. As you get there a dotted line will show where it will jump to
as you release the button

Although by default the task bar appears on the bottom of the
screen, it can be on any of the sides you prefer it on. To move
it from any side to another, simply click on an unused part of it
and drag it where you want it. Be sure to click *within* it, not
on the edge; clicking on the edge and dragging will resize it

If it won't move, it may be locked. In that case, right click on
it and uncheck "Lock the taskbar," then try again.
