Hi,

I have a program I would like to package. Basically the way the
installation should go is as follows:

* Run a silent install of a foundation program
* Copy files making up my program to a folder created underneat the
foundation program
* Create the relevant shortcuts.

I am looking for a product that is not too complex.

Thank You.

What da f*** has your post got to do with discussing the Windows XP
operating system?

Please ignore him, I think he's off his meds again. Your question is more
than relevant for this *general* newsgroup.

If your installation routine is as simple as you say, you could easily
create a batch file to install your package(s). It wouldn't be complicated
and you should be able to pick up enough info to create your script from
just reading a few basic batch programming/tutorial sites.

There are a number of applications available that will create installation
packages for you
(http://www.google.ca/search?q=windows+setup+authoring+tools). I would
suggest you see if any of demo versions available that you could try. I
don't have any solid recommendations for you myself, but I did toy around
with the Wise Installation Studio a number of years ago, and it was fairly
easy to use.

Isn't suppose to be a Windows XP General Forum? The software will run
on Windows XP.

This group is ABOUT XP issues in general, not about software issues of
software that uses XP as its platform.

This newsgroup is for issues with the XP OS, not about how to set up
programs that run on XP. It's called general to be a place for issues that
don't fit on the other specialty newsgroups such as internet explorer, media
player, outlook express, etc. When posting off topic questions it's best to
put OT as the first item in the subject line.

Or better still, simply don't don't post off-topic comments or questions. I
don't think identifying a post as off-topic at all excuses its being here.

Clickteam Install creator works great, and there is a free version.
