Can anyone tell me why there is no enable Simple File Sharing option in the Folder Options / View / Advanced dialogue box on my XP Home PC?

My PC running XP Home can access all shared folders on my Son's PC running XP Pro, he can see my shared folders but can't access them.

any clues?

TIA
Mike

My understanding is that SFS is the default option on XP
Home. XP Pro gives you the option.

XP Home always uses Simple File Sharing and doesn't have an option to
enable it or disable it.

Run the Network Setup Wizard on your computer to fully enable file
sharing:
