Similar repair issues all this week?

I repair computers in my spare time, and all this week I had computers coming in that all suffer from the same problem. All of them power up but do not boot, and I cant even get into BIOS. It just a blank black screen, no motherboard error beeping, or nothing. Motherboard lights are on, and fans are working. I got a green light when testing power supplys. I've never really seen a problem like this, other than witnessing my own CPU, motherboard, PSU die, but what are the odds of all these systems doing this at the same time? I'm just curious if they are all releated, and what could cause this?
 
Act of God..... sounds like someplace had a heck of a power surge (lightning
hits).

Could be just a coincidence or it could be something like the story going
round last year about a bad batch of capacitors that were causing mother
boards to fail. Seems an ex-employee stole some designs and went to a
rival, but had not got the full details for the electrolyte and this caused
the capacitors to start failing very early.

So you might want to check out the capcitors on the MOBo to see if any are
blown ...
