When I set my signature in Outlook 2003 to a set font such as Verdana size
10, when I go and attempt to create a new msg it does not come out in
Verdana but rather the default font Times New Roman.

How do I have it so that it always comes out as Verdana? Is there anyway to
change the entire default font from Times New Roman to Verdana?

Cant help with this as mine displays with the font I select.

From the menu bar select "Tools->Options", select the "Mail Format" tab.
In the "Stationery and Fonts" section, Press the "Fonts" button.
There are 3 "Choose Fonts" buttons here to set the default fonts for new
mail, replys and the reading pane.

Well actually I might.

I just had a little play with my signature and I noticed this. When you add
a font to an already existing sig you must highlight the sig before you go to
the select font dialog, otherwise the font selection has no effect on the sig.

Try this:
1. "Tools->Options" and go to the "Mail Format" tab.
2. Press the "Signatures..." button.
You get to the Create Signature dialog.
3. Select the signature you want to change in the top list, so it is
highlighted.
4. Now press the "Edit" button

The "Edit Signature" dialog will now load

5. In the field showing your sig, highlight your signature ( click-and-hold
the cursor down at the front of your sig and drag the mouse to the right to
highlight all of your signature).

6. Press the "Font..." button and then select the font you require.

If you have highlighted the signature it chould change the font in the "Edit
Signature" dialog when you "OK" the font selector dialog.
This should then have correctly selected and applied the font to that
signature.

Hope this helps
Chris
