I have just bought a sidewinder, but it doesnt have a
power pack, it say 12v 1.3 amps on the wheel. What type
of adapter will it work with and what size is the pin.

Cheers

Mik.

What exactly are you trying to do? You should be able to just connect
it to the PC and add the device through Game Controllers in the Control
Panel. I don't believe those devices will work with an adapter and I
can't recall the exact reason. Hopefully you will get Josh (MS) to see
this one :)

This is most likely one of the Force Feedback devices that uses a power
supply to drive the force motors. You can go here and they should help you
get another power supply. If not let me know and I can try to help.

Hey, that was a pretty good guess :)

Also, here is the link fixed so you can click on it:

Not sure why the [ln] kills the link prematurely or if this happens to
all newsgroup readers, but somebody should fix that :p

I'll modify my link. It works fine for me but I have seen you twice say it
is broken for you :).

I bet it is Mozilla Thunderbird that is doing it. I'm gonna guess
Outlook Express must not have the same problem. Gonna contact Mozilla
about that :)

I've just been experimenting with Newsgroup readers after using OE for
so long. I like the interface of Thunderbird especially with its
skinning capabilities (I'm easily entertained) :p
