Running Windows XP Home edition, while playing a game that
used the arrow keys, somehow, the kid turned the screen
sideways. The entire desktop has been rotated 90 degrees.
If we turn the monitor on it's side it looks right. I
booted in safe mode and it came up OK. Booting normal is
sideways.
Help!

Try right click on desktop >properties > advanced > and look for a tab for
your video card

You may have to search around in that tab, but some video cards have a page
that lets you
rotate the screen-I know nvidia does.

Hope this helps.

| Try clicking Alt, Ctrl and the UP arrow key at the same
| time.

If that suggestion doesn't work open your Display Properties (right click an
empty spot on the desktop and choose properties *or* from control panel) and
go to the settings tab. Click advanced. It's likely there will be a setting
for "rotation" or "orientation" that can be used to set it back to normal.
