Hello,

Is there anyway to shutdown the Internet on a computer? Access to the LAN
must be available but to the Internet must be OFF.

Hi,

You can do this if your IP address is using a fixed IP, then just delete the
address for the default gateway under your network card's TCP/IP Properties.

Sure.

Configure the computer with no default gateway. You'll have access to anything
on the LAN, but nothing else.

You mention a LAN - you can prohibit access to the internet via group policy
may be more viable than altering settings since access can be resumed at a
later date if desired by disabling/deleting the policy.

I'm sorry, now I see that I forget something in the original question. What
I need is a way to turn ON and OFF the internet in a determined computer
like hitting a button. My purpose in this is to apply this using a program
to execute commands in a remote computer.

I need a way to turn OFF and ON the internet connection remotely.

You could configure a schedule when a computer has accesss or not to the
Internet by using a router like Linksys.
