I have a Superpower 6xv-133 slot1 with an 733 processer. After shutting down
XP the SYS freezes up before full shutdown-The harddrive seems to power down
and the sreen goes blck but fans and power light stay on. I had this problem
before but I cant say what I did to fix it then had to switch hard drives and
reload now back at it again. I tried all I know in bios and power setting but
theres something Im missing because I fiddled with bios before and it started
working.

Thanks Will, Great links-I ran thru them before but I'll hit um again as soon
as I have a chance. Ive done all the updates and run serpac2,are these
registry fixes included already?

Hi

SP2 has had a few Updates since it was released - make sure you have all the
Critical/Security ones installed.

If software solutions do not work, replace the CMOS battery. Then load
"setup defaults" in CMOS setup. You can also check that the "Power Supply
type" setting in BIOS is the same as the type of your power supply(AT or
ATX).

Let us know if this helps.
