shutdown problems

i can't shutdown xp. it'll give the its now... your
computer. i search on the internet even microsoft's
site each siter refers to the apm tab. i cant find the
apm tab at all. i looked in the control panel, device
manager, power options, etc. please help thanks in
advance.

You may have to look for that in the Bios. Check here
