Eric

Let me start a new thread concerning this matter.

When I shutdown my system the last screen that appears
and stays on the screen until the user turns the power
off is the Windows is Shutting Down... screen.

I would like to get to the screen that says you can now
turn the power off screen. What should I do?

Eric,

Not sure why you started a new thread...

Here is a few hints for you:
- Make sure you include ACPI HAL (PC) component (or use TAP output).
- What do you use to shutdown the system? Use "xpepm -shutdown" (include Power Management Application component) or
"fba -shutdown" command.
- What logon component your image based on? If it is MinLogon, install this QFE:

- Read this thread: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&th=7694168bf329b286&rnum=2

my responces are below...

## - I am using tap.exe and am including the acpi
components
- What do you use to shutdown the system?
Use "xpepm -shutdown" (include Power Management
Application component) or
"fba -shutdown" command.

## - I am not familure with xpepm or fba shutdown. I am
using start->shutdown->shutdown to turn my system off.
- What logon component your image based on? If it is MinLogon, install this QFE:

## - I am using windows logon and the autologon
components.

Eric,

How XP Pro behaves on your hardware? Do you see the same issue or does it work properly?

You can run "fba -shutdown" from \windows\fba directory. At least it will show if your can repro the problem with this call. If it
works, then the problem is likely in missing components.
To use xpepm you will need to include "Power Management Application". But it is not necessary to try out this tool.

Dear Eric,

Try to replace ACPI component with "Standard PC".
