My shutdown button is not visible in the Start Menu. I already checked start
menu properties and searched around a bit but I have had no luck.

Thanks,
Chris

1. Click Start, then Run.

2. Type REGEDIT and click OK.

3. Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE node on the left.

4. Now follow the folders down as follows.

- SOFTWARE
- Microsoft
- Windows
- CurrentVersion
- Policies
- System

5. With System highlighted, look on the right hand side for the
"ShutdownWithoutLogon" key and change the value from 0 to 1.

6. If the key isn't there, right click on the right hand side and
choose NEW, followed by DWORD Value.

7. Call it "ShutdownWithoutLogon".

8. Now double click on the newly created key and change its value from
0 to 1.

Cheers

Steve
