When I choose shut down for my computer it shuts down and then restarts
automatically. Why. I know there was a fix for this problem once, but I can't
find it again.

Help please.

Right click on my computer, go to system properties and advanced, click on
startup and recovery settings, uncheck automatically restart.

Now you should see the error statement you didn't see before, because you pc
automatically restarted before.

One you get that error statement, research it like crazy. Post it here for
experts. Google parts of the error statement to see if others are
discussing what it could mean.

I was able to tell that on my pc roxio cd burning program was the source of
my headaches and I uninstalled it with great success.

Disable everything that reads 'Wake up' in the BIOS settings. Also, I have
seen this behavior if you have a CD/DVD in the drive during a shutdown.
