Shut down

Computer does not shut down automatically.The following
message appears:"It is safe now to shut down the
computer."
I have to manually shut it down.
Anything I can do to have it shut down automatically?

Hello!
Have you checked the BIOS?
Try this:-
Click [Start]> [Control Panel]> [Performance and
Maintenance]> [Power Options]
The Power Options Properties Property Sheet will open.
Click the APM tab and check the box to [Enable Advanced
Power Management Support]
Also update the BIOS.

A probable cause is that your installation found the BIOS does not
adequately support the 'Advanced Configuration & Power Interface'
(ACPI). It then installs the older APM, but leaves it disabled. Go to
Control Panel - Power Options, and if there is an APM page, check
'Enable APM' on it.
