I have a strange problem that occured after setupping the network in my home,
some menus (like the one that appear after clicking on the shutdown button in
the menu start) have changed the style from the winXP to the win2000, in
place of the icons "shutdown" "restart" and "system in wait" there's just a
window with the winXP logo and the names of the actions in a small list.
I want them to go back to normal, how can I do this?

Billy,

Right click on the taskbar in a blank area, choose Properties. On the Start
Menu tab, pick "Start Menu" instead of "Classic Start Menu".

Thank you, but the problem is especifically with the shutdown window, the
other windows/menus are all normal in winXP default config

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> User accounts.
In User Accounts, click on "Change the way users log on or off".
Put a check mark in the box next to "Use the Welcome Screen".
You can also put a check next to "Use Fast User Switching".
Click the "Apply Options" button.
Close User Accounts.
Go to Start -> Turn off computer and see if the XP style shutdown
dialog has been restored.
