Shuffle repeats

I'm using WMP 9. After I listen to a few songs on
shuffle, the exact same playlist begins to repeat. The
support site says this happens in 7 because of a .asx
file. I made sure that I don't have any of those types of
music files. I have literally thousands of songs and this
shouldn't happen. Is there a fix for this?

Shuffle means a random mixing of the music files, thus

some of the tracks will repeat, sometimes twice in a row.
Most of the time when playing *.asx files (NPR) you will
be limited to 30 minutes and will repeat. Go to
Search/files and folders and type *.asx and see if
anything comes up in the list. You can either delete it
or ignore it, your choice.
 
It replays more than just one or two songs. It repeats
the entire list that it has already played in the exact
same order...we're talking 50-60 minutes worth of music.
I have no .asx files so there is another reason this is
happening. I also know other people that are having this
exact problem.
