showing numbers lower than 8 in red

Format / Conditional Formatting / Cell Value is 'less than' 8 - Hit Format button and choose
either a red font, or perhaps a red pattern with a white font.
 
I need to show all marks that are lower than 8 in red.
Please can anyone help?!

If by "mark" you mean a number, then:

Format/Cells/Custom Type: [Red][<8]General;General

Use Conditional Formatting:
Select Format/Conditional Formatting, then specify
Condition 1 as "Cell Value is Less Than 8", and click on
the Format button to specify Red font or whatever.
