Hi everyone,

I use Windows XP Pro, and I have a question about counting the total size of
many files. When I select with the mouse a bunch of files in Explorer, the
total size of files is only shown if the total number of selected files is
inferior or equal to 100. Why ? I don't know why Microsoft chose to add
restrictions in Windows XP. I have the samer problem with the Explorer
search panel : it's much more complicated than in the previous versions of
Windows... and much less efficient (it requires many more clicks).

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Mark, I am unable to duplicate your problem. Do you have the "Status Bar"
option selected on the View menu?

Microsoft didn't choose to add this restriction, since it's not a
restriction at all. The behavior you are experiencing is not normal, and
there is something wrong in your situation. But with such little
information, I can't begin to guess what might be wrong.
