show desktop icon

My "show desktop' icon is showing on the wall paper and its not at the task
bar. How can I make it/locate it to the task bar next to the 'start' button,
thanks

Right-click the Taskbar, click Toolbars, "Quick Launch", to add the QL
toolbar to the Taskbar. Then drag/drop the "Show Desktop" shortcut from
the Desktop to the QL toolbar.

Or go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 /n /i:U shell32

Manual Edit:

Copy and paste the five lines below into Notepad.

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Then save it as Show Desktop.scf and drag it to your quick launch bar.
