i upgraded from me to xp - can i delete all the compaq files that transferred over or are they still being used? - some of them are from 1999

Hi,

If you did a retail upgrade, you are are probably safe to remove the compaq
files. What type of files are they? Try moving them to the recycling bin for
a few days first to see if there are any problems before permanently
removing them.

Before deleting the COMPAQ files, use "Add/Remove Software" function to
uninstall each COMPAQ utility. Then go back and remove all the leftover
files.
