I manage a medium sized company and was wondering what are
the benefits of using SUS to roll out updates? Can't you
just select the Windows Auto Updaters to install updates
at a specifies time? Other than having your own pipline
of specified updates and being able to distribute them to
computers remotely are there any major benefits to using
this program?

Thanks

One computer downloads the patches from the Internet and all other computers
get the updates from the computer that downloaded the updates. This will
conserve bandwidth.

Once downloaded you get the opportunity to approve updates before they are
distributed to clients. Scheduling the Auto update, you don't get to approve
updates. They get whatever they download.

Users can not change the update settings.
