Should I quit?

I just work in a company for only 4 days, within this 2 days, it seems virus
attack 4 computers, after loading XP windows and wallpaper and nothing else,
I have talked to Dell engineer, they said virus causing this problem. What I
need to backup all emails for clients and to restore the image from Norton
ghost. But my senior never tell me anything about how the network, and email
works at the first place, and I need to fix them, so he warns me I will be
wrong, because they are using Exchange email Server, and I get no idea what
it is, because I work on the client side only, and copy existing setting from
one computer to another computer without understanding much on all the
network setting. My senior seems not to tell me anything, if he can how me
once on what to do, then I can do it and I feel difficult to go on to work
here. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you don't have a basic understanding of networking or even the basic
understanding of email (and Exchange is part of that basic
understanding), then you are in the wrong job it appears.

In the end - you either do what you feel is the right thing to do, or you
don't.
 
Sure, you should quit. In today's economy, there will be somebody to take
your place, willingly.

And, you can perhaps get a job at a local fast food restaurant.

it is unclear as to what
or why you were hired
for and perhaps they
did not know who they
were looking for as well.

but it seems you don't
have all the skills necessary
to "take" charge of the
situation.

or

the environment is not
conducive towards team
work and solving problems
but creates them instead.

for them to choke on

in regards with not
knowing some of those
things you mentioned,

you probably should
acquire those skills by taking
