Should I do the Updates?

Hi there,
I know that the anwer to this question might be very obvious for some, BUT,
is is OK to do the windows updates?
I have heard and read that some people has problems after doing the
updates.

Click your Start button/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
When System Restore opens select the option to Create a Restore Point, click
the Next button at the bottom right of the window, and continue with the
wizard. It's a good idea to create a Restore Point before installing any
new software, any updates, editing the registry etc..
 
Start Menu, Programs, Accessories, System Tools
You'll see the item for Restore, which both creates restore points and
lets you activate them when required.

Since Restore points sometimes become corrupted, it's vital to have a
second backup. This program is very easy to use.
