Shortcuts on Quick Launch Toolbar

I have the quicklaunch toolbar displaying on my computer and I drag
shortcuts to it so that I can click on the shortcut from there.

Only 4 shortcuts display in the toolbar before the button that displays the
additional shortcuts shows up. How can I expand the area where my shortcuts
display so that I can see more than 4 at a time?

Right click on a blank area of the task bar and UNcheck "Lock the
taskbar." Then left-click and drag on the dotted separator line until
it's where you want. Then right-click and loct the taskbar.
 
Try draging the bunch of dots that are next to the last
icon on the left hand side farther to the left along the
toolbar
