Shortcut to Run

Can anyone tell me how to create a shortcut to the Run dialog, aside
from using <Windows>+R?

I've seen articles that say you can drag the run command to your
desktop or Quick Launch to create a shortcut, but that doesn't seem to
be working for me in WinXP Pro SP2.

Any thoughts/ideas?

If you use or temporarily switch to the Windows XP Start Menu rather than the
Classic Start Menu, you can then drag "Run" to your Desktop, creating a
shortcut.

Hi Alan,

Copy these lines:

Dim objShell
Set objShell = CreateObject("Shell.Application")
objShell.FileRun

Save as a .vbs then drag it to your Quick Launch.

Mine has...

Dim objShell
set objShell = CreateObject("Shell.Application")
objShell.FileRun

set objShell = nothing


But it works without the set objShell = nothing line.

Why have that line if the script works without it?
