Hi

I have inherited a PC from my colleague who left. The PC runs Xp and I have a problem. The number1 key on the number pad has a link attached so if you click on 1 it opens Internet Explorer. Does anyone know how to remove this link (also to add links as it is quite handy but just on the wrong button as I use the number pad alot).

any help is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Gareth

Hi,

Is it a multimedia keyboard with additional keys to launch specific programs. Search for the software program that might be installed on the computer which stores the functions that are customizable.

Alternatively try to check that the nums lock button is on and then see if the number key board works. you might be using the number key pad when the num status are turned off.

In addition, take a look at all the IE shortcuts (including on the start
menu and task bar) and do a right click - Properties and take a look at the
shortcut key.
