Is there some freeware program that lists the shortcut keys assigned to the
icons on the Windows desktop? I have a conflict I can't find, and need to
resolve it.

Thanks.

I think Jeff means a freeware app that lists the "hot keys" he
assigned to the desktop shortcuts... and in the past I've seen
something like that... if only I could remember its name; one thing I
do remember about this app.: It made my OS unstable as H*ll!

Jeff,

I found a program that might be what you are looking for, have a look at:

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shman.html (Shortcuts Manager)

It gives you the shortcuts on both Desktop and Start menu, and lists
shortcut keys assigned to the shortcut with it.

Yeah, that's what I mean, but OY I don't need any more instability in my
life <grin>.

Absolutely perfect! It found all of them.

Now, the mystery. I have ctrl-alt-g set to start Groupmail. When the key
combo did not start the program, I thought there might be a conflict
somewhere. I've had this happen before, if I inadvertently used the same
key combo for another app. But there is no conflict.

I'll have to explore further why it isn't working.

Thanks!

Thanks! I've downloaded the other app mentioned here, and it works nicely.

I appreciate the help!

I can't think of anything.
(Except that the shortcut needs to be located somewhere in the Startmenu
or on the desktop and that shortcut keys are read at Windows startup
only, so restart might be needed.)

Jeff,

Things to look for (experience with another freeware)

.. Misses .lnk to TweakUI
.. Does NOT include .PIF files
.. Shows .LNK in StartMenu and on Desktop ONLY,
IOW, does NOT include all .LNK files,
e.g., in \some\other\dir\
