I use to be able to use Ctrl + H for find and replace.
But it no longer works. Have I inadvertantly disabled
this shortcut? How can I check and enable it. thanks for
the help

Mike,
I can't tell you why it doesn't work for you but you
could use ctrl+f. Ctrl+f brings up the same find/replace
box.

If you have a search window open, pasting may be disabled,
or at least not working. That might apply to find and replace as well.
My experience, which does not seem to be a problem with others.

If you created a shortcut for a macro with Ctrl+H as a shortcut
then that overrides the default. Can't tell you how to find it, but
I think you could assign that shortcut to any macro and then
eliminate the shortcut for the macro.

It could also be an addin instead of your own macro that overrides
a shortcut.
