Shortcut in shared documents

I recently (and accidently) made a shortcut to "My Documents" in my "Shared
Documents" folder. However, when I go to delete the shortcut it says "Access
Denied" or "The current file is right protected or in use." How can I delete
this shortcut?
 
Try deleting the Shortcut in Safe Mode. Restart your PC and press F8 after
POST screen and before "Starting Windows...." message. Press enter on Safe
Mode option and try deleting the shortcut.
