Is there a way to put a shortcut on my desktop to open OL 2000's Calendar
only. Bypassing all and going directly to Calendar instead of having to
opem OL and opening Calender. Ya know -trying to save a few unnessesary
clicks,lol . Thank You ;-)

You can configure Outlook to open directly to the calendar - tools, options,
other, advanced, top of page. Or create a shortcut using /select
outlook:calendar switch:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe" /select
outlook:calendar

You can display your Folder List in Outlook, restore Outlook down so you can
see both the folder list and your desktop, then right-click and drag your
Calendar icon to your desktop and copy the calendar icon there.

Diane,
Thank you for this information and the link. I followed your
steps,calendar-tools-options-other-advanced-top of page. I got lost when I
was at the "top of page" part. It was not there . Anyways , what I did is
right clicked your link outlook:calendar and made a shortcut from that.Which
is working great, thank you thank you. BUT please tell me in other words
where I would find such a link and can it work the same if I made a second
or third calendar? reminder I am using OL2000.

Trainer, thank you also , I did try your method but it did not work for me.
Christine

sorry to hear that... as I like to access my calendar like that as well!
Hope one of the other suggestions worked!!

Trainer , I am sorry I CAN do this shortcut as you said ! What I was doing
is trying to drag from the wrong calendar icon . Apologies and thank you
again.

The shortcut works for all folders - show the web toolbar in outlook, then
select the folder you want to make a shortcut for. Copy the path from the
address bar in the web toolbar and use it for the switch.
