If shoe reads this, I uninstalled my modem (physically), driver files, and
re-installed but no luck. My computer came with a LAN connection card, and I
have uninstalled it, but not physically, since I don't know where it is
inside. Whenever I reach the connection wizard page, the heading above the
icon for the ethernet connection says "LAN or Broadband Connection", and I
have a feeling that's what is preventing the option for dial-up. Any
suggestions will be appreciated, since I am still unable to use the thing.
Thanks.
