SHIFT-Lock when Un-Hibernating

On my Dell D800 Notebook with XP Pro on, whenever I come out of hibernation
it is like SHIFT-lock is on. Only way to get back to normal is to hold the
left-shift key (right has no effect) and left-click anywhere. This releases
it.

It has done it on SP1 and SP2 and the machine has been formatted more than
once for various reasons.

Any advice?

Since the behavior has happened through out formatting, upgrades, etc. I
can only assume it something about your machine's hardware or Dell's
proprietary software and not specific to the XP operating system
itself. Try posting in the Dell support forums; your chances of finding
someone with this problem with that particular model laptop are better
than here.

Thanks

I have tried the Dell forums and they suggested it was a deisgn flaw in XP
which is why I thought I'd post here.

Oh well - back to Dell.
