ShellRestart.exe error

I see the above error on shut down/restart of my computer. Can you please
tell me what might be causing the error and how to correct it?

The ShellRestart.exe error is associated with AOL software. AOL has
always written garbage software so no surprise that something is
crashing. You'll need to either 1) do clean-boot troubleshooting to see
which piece of AOL software is giving the error; 2) look for an AOL
users' forum; 3) call AOL tech support; 4) uninstall AOL.

Then do the clean-boot troubleshoot or call AOL tech support. You should
also ask yourself The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed
between the time things worked and the time they didn't? Perhaps one of
AOL's updates did the damage. Since AOL updates your software without
asking and without telling you what is being updated, only AOL knows
what they did if this is your case.
