SHDOCVW.dll missing after installing recommended updates

In response to the note posted by Charlie on 1/10/2004, I am having the same issue. On 1/11/2004 I installed a couple recommended updates as well, and since have been unable to get passed the log in screen without receiving the same error: "This application has failed to start because SHDOCVW.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem." Is there a simple method of recovering this file?

download a version of the file from
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?shdocvw but not sure if it
will be the correct version.
