Sharing Workbook Problems

I have put a workbook file on our network and I set it up
as shared. However, when other people open it, it opens
as [read-only][shared], and they cannot change it. When
I set the file up to be shared, I did check the box to
allow others to make changes. Does anyone know what the
problem is?

I'm not sure if this is a fit, but when non-shared workbooks get opened
readonly, this is one fix:

http://www.contextures.com/xlfaqApp.html#ReadOnly
from Debra Dalgleish's site.

Try going into *Windows Explorer*, navigate to the WB in question, right
click on it's name, and choose "properties", and *uncheck* "read only" in
that window.

Good answer!

But if it's not readonly for the OP, she may want to double check to make sure
that users have write access to that share.
