Sharing with another OS

I hope this is the right forum-- if not sorry
I need to share a directory that resides on an XP machine
with 4 other computers all but one are 98 is this
possible?
Everything I try keeps blowing up

If you want help, you need to learn to post with
a bit more clarity - "keeps blowing up"
doesn't cut it.
