Apologies if this has been asked before, but I can't see it.

I've got four XP Pro SP2 machines on my home workgroup LAN which I'm in the
process of rebuilding. Once I've run the updates on one PC, is there any way
I can distribute them to the other machines without downloading over and
over again? I know I can download and save the patches to disk, then install
them that way, but this will necessitate many reboots of each box, which
going through Windows Updates somehow avoids.

Many thanks.

Hi,

You have to use the administrator options at the update site to download
them in stand alone format. The ones you get via the automated route are
often deleted as part of the end routine of the update installation. You
should normally be able to install several updates and decline rebooting
until you get them all done.
