Sharing Subfolder in Contacts

We have outlook 2003 running off an exchange 2003 server and I want to share
only specific contact/distribution lists with certain people. I created a
new folder in the contacts list and gave the other people rights to that
folder, but one of two things happen when those people open my shared
contacts. 1) They get my entire personal contact list. 2) They see an empty
contact list window, they do not see any subfolders. Has anyone had this
issue and resolved it.
Tried Delegating, tried giving the other people owner rights to the
subfolder, but nothing fixes the problem.

You have to take a few extra steps to give someone permissions for a
non-default Exchange folder in your mailbox. First, give the other person
Reviewer permission at the root of your mailbox. Then, make sure he/she has
the appropriate permission for your subfolder itself. Once those two things
are done, he/she can go into Tools | E-mail Accounts, then into Exchange
Server properties, click Advanced, and then add your mailbox to the list.
The mailbox and all the folders he/she has permissions to see will then
appear in his/her folder list.

Thanks for the reply, but I do not want to give access to the entire mailbox.
We just want to give access to the subfolder in the contacts. As my first
message explains, we can share the contacts, but this shares the entire
contact list, which is something we do not want to do. We just want to share
a subset of the contacts, this is why we created a folder in the contacts and
are trying to share that folder.
 
Jocelyn is not suggesting that you share the entire mailbox. Did you
actually try what she suggested?
