sharing files||PLEASE HELP

i tried to share "my shared documents" with another
computer over the wireless-network and it
says: "SharedDocs is not accessible.You might not have
permission to use this network resource.Contact the
administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permissions." Can anyone steer me in the right
direction on this, perhaps on how to change the
administrators settings?!?! thank you for your time and
consideration!
 
are you on the network? can you ping the machine your
trying to access? Or are you seeing the folder shared
docs, and when you try to open it do you get the error?

Try searching for the computer on the network, find it
and then open the folder? If you can see the floder make
sure the permissions are set with no password initially
and try again?

If you use Simple File Sharing and both machines are in the same
Workgroup you should not have to do anything.

Shared Docs is shared by default when using Simple File SHaring.
